Is the Contour device safe for my eyes?

Yes, our Contour Face device is very safe for the eyes and does not require any eye protection. It has been tested and conforms to international eye safety standards IEC/EN 62471.

Is Contour safe to use with Retinol?

We generally do not recommend combining retinol with any form of light therapy, as there is always a risk of reaction. While some individuals do use both products concurrently with no adverse reaction, transparency regarding potential effects is paramount to us. We strongly advise consulting with your dermatologist or provider, who can give you personalized guidance based on your skin's unique needs.

How many LEDs does the Contour Face have?

There are a total of 132 LEDs, 66 red and 66 near-infrared. The red and near-infrared LEDs are encased in 66 dual chip bulbs.

My controller is not charging, what’s wrong?

Please check that your country-specific adapter is fully pushed into the charger. To ensure that the adapter is fully attached, you must push the adapter into the charger until you hear and feel a “click.” Please also make sure that you are not charging the controller while your device is also plugged in, this can cause issues with charging. If you are still having issues with charging your controller, please reach out to one of our customer service team members and they will be able to further troubleshoot with you.

Can I use Omnilux Contour with my current skincare products?

Omnilux Contour is compatible with most skin care routines. You should always apply your skin care products after treatments. Please review the Contraindications for a list of products and ingredients to avoid using with LED.

Should I use any serum/creams or other skincare products underneath my device?

We recommend completing treatments with a bare face, or using the specially formulated and designed Omnilux Hydrogel masks under your device. You don't want to create a barrier between your skin and the light with any unauthorized products. If additional hydration is desired during treatment, a light water-based serum is okay. Any other products could impact the amount of light reaching the skin and reduce effectiveness, could possibly cause a skin reaction, or may damage the Contour device itself.

What are the benefits of near-infrared light therapy?

Near-infrared targets deeper fibroblast cells, stimulating new collagen and elastin production, resulting in plumper, firmer, more youthful looking skin.

What is the recommended treatment regimen for Contour?

We recommend using the Contour devices 3-5 times per week for 4-6 weeks. After the initial 6 weeks, you should continue routine maintenance treatments as desired based on lifestyle and skincare needs, as everyone skin is different. Consistency is key, so find what works best for you!

All Omnilux devices use dual chip technology to enclose both LEDs in one bulb. During your Omnilux Contour treatment you are getting benefits of both red and near-infrared light simultaneously.

How does it work?

The Contour devices use optimized energy output and two clinically proven wavelengths of light (red and near-infrared) to work at a cellular level to stimulate new collagen and reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and other visible signs of aging.

The red wavelength (633nm) supports natural cellular repair and renewal for a visibly refreshed, more radiant complexion.

How does Contour compare to the Omnilux Medical professional system?

Although the output of professional units is much higher, the dose delivered during an at-home Contour treatment is very similar, as are the results! Think about it as a flashlight shining light on a wall – the closer you get to the wall, the brighter and more intense the light becomes. Because the Contour's LEDs are directly on the skin, it delivers a higher concentration of light.

Everyone's skin is different so there may be users who notice they still have breakouts after week 6. We recommend you stop using the device for a couple of weeks to give your skin a break before you start treatments again.

Improvements in skin conditions vary, as everyone’s skin is different and requires different needs. In all cases, we recommend using the Clear device for 4 treatments per week for 6 weeks. You may notice that at the end of the 6 weeks you still have breakouts, we recommend taking a break from the device, and starting back up with treatments after a couple of weeks.

Can I use Clear more frequently than the recommended 4x per week?

Will Clear make my pores smaller?

There is ample evidence that red light therapy (embedded in the Omnilux Clear) will help reduce the appearance of pore size.

Do I need eye protection during treatments with Omnilux Clear?

All Omnilux devices have been tested to the highest internationally recognized eye safety standards and have been deemed safe to use on uncovered eyes. However, some people may find that they are sensitive to blue light, so we have equipped our Clear device with built-in eye shields for comfort.

Can I use Clear if I am also on Accutane?

We do not recommend the use of light therapy devices while on Accutane. If you have stopped taking the medication for at least 5 days, the treatment can be safely administered. *Please note that people with a predisposition to pigmentation or photosensitivity and people with darker skin tones (types IV, V and VI on the Fitzpatrick Scale) may experience transient pigmentation with blue light therapy. If you are using prescription-strength Benzoyl Peroxide or are unsure if your skincare products are compatible with light therapy, please consult your dermatologist or physician prior to using Omnilux Clear. Do not apply any products to your skin prior to LED treatment.

How does it work?

Normal skin bacteria colonize in the skin's pores causing the inflammation and redness of the skin that we associate with acne. The bacteria responsible for this inflammation (C.acnes), produces natural chemicals called porphyrins, which are sensitive to the wavelengths of light used by Omnilux Clear (blue and red).

Why do the lights look purple?

Since the Clear device uses dual chip technology, when red and blue light are combined and illuminated together, the eye perceives the output color as purple.

Does Clear device help with hormonal acne?

Yes, hormonal acne is still acne vulgaris but triggered by hormonal changes. The bacteria that triggers inflammation and breakouts is P.acnes, which will respond to blue and red light, therefore Clear may help with hormonal acne vulgaris.

How do I know my skin type? (Dry, Oily, Combination)

One simple way to determine your skin type is the bare skin test. Start by washing your face with a gentle cleanser and pat dry. Wait for 30 minutes and examine your skin. If your skin appears excessively shiny on most of your face, you likely have an oily skin type. If your skin feels tight (especially if you smile or make any other facial expressions) you most likely have dry skin. If you have shiny patches and dry patches, you probably have a combination skin type. Finally, if your skin doesn’t have any of the symptoms listed above, you likely have normal skin – lucky you!

Can I use Clear and Omnilux Men at the same time?

Why are the straps different lengths?

The top strap is longer than the bottom strap to provide an optimal, adjustable fit that will work for most face shapes.

How do I clean the device?

To clean the device, wipe gently with a water-based wipe or damp cloth and place on a clean surface to air dry. Stubborn stains can be removed by wiping gently with 70% alcohol.

Should I use it before or after applying post-shave products?

Omnilux Men is best used on a clean face. Apply your post-shave products after your treatment.

Can I complete Omnilux Mini treatments after microneedling?

We do not recommend applying a hydrocolloid to freshly microneedled skin. Instead, we recommend using our Omnilux Contour or Omnilux Men full face mask

What is the output/intensity of the Mini LED devices?

Our Mini devices provide an energy output of ~30mW/cm2. This output has been calculated to be optimal for cell stimulation based on Omnilux clinical data.

Can I use Omnilux Mini with my current skincare products?

Omnilux Mini is compatible with most skin care routines. You should always apply your skin care products after treatments. Your can view a full list of contraindications below.

Are the Mini devices safe for all ages?

We recommend the Eye Brightener and Skin Corrector devices for people age 21 and older.

We recommend the Blemish Eraser for people ages 14 and older.

How long does it take LED light therapy to work?

With consistent use, you should start to see results from your Skin Corrector and Eye Brightener devices starting at 4 weeks.

You should start to see results from your Blemish Eraser at 4-6 weeks. Be sure to take before and after pictures to compare your progress. Sometimes it can be hard to notice a difference until you compare your before and after photos.

How many LEDs do the Omnilux Mini devices have?

The Mini devices all contain 12 individual LEDs, encased in 6 dual chip bulbs.

Does LED light therapy really work?

Should I use any serum/creams or other skincare products underneath my Mini device?

Since the device is adhered to the skin with our Hydrocolloid Patch, which has active skincare ingredients, we recommend only using the Hydrocolloid Patches under your Mini device.

How do the Omnilux Mini devices differ from each other?

The Omnilux Mini Skin Corrector and Eye Brightener use red and near-infrared light to reduce fine line, wrinkles, and improve overall skin tone. They are shaped differently for different parts of your face.

The Eye Brightener is shaped like a crescent to fit under and around the eye area, the Skin corrector is round to target areas like your cheek or your forehead. The Blemish Eraser device uses red and blue light to treat acne breakouts.

Although all Mini devices have red light, the light is used in combination with other wavelengths (near-infrared and blue) to target two completely different skin concerns.

Each Mini's corresponding Hydrocolloid Patches contain skincare ingredients specific to the device's treatment application (ie, salicylic acid for blemishes and amino acid-rich peptides for reducing fine lines and wrinkles).

What are the wavelengths of light used in the Mini line?

The Skin Corrector device uses 633nm red light and 830nm near- infrared light.

Are the Mini devices safe for my eyes?

The Mini devices are safe for use around the eyes. They have been tested and conform to medical device standards including IEC/EN 62471. However, do not hold the device directly over your eye or stare into the device while it is on, as it may cause irritation.

Will Blemish Eraser help with acne scarring?

Omnilux Mini Blemish Eraser may help to reduce the chances of scarring and may soften the appearance of acne scarring. Blemish Eraser will not soften the appearance of atrophic scars.

How do the Mini devices compare to the full-sized LED masks?

The mini devices contain the same technology as our masks, but are conveniently smaller for spot treatments, travel, or as an introduction to LED light therapy.

Does the Blemish Eraser device help with severe acne?

Omnilux Mini Blemish Eraser is intended to treat mild to moderate acne vulgaris breakouts. If you experience acne on larger areas of the face, or your entire face, we recommend purchasing the Omnilux Clear mask. Blemish Eraser is NOT indicated for severe acne. Please consult your physician for a more appropriate treatment.

Are the Hydrocolloid Patches cruelty free and vegan?

Yes, all of the Hydrocolloid Patches are cruelty free and vegan. You can find the full ingredients list on each product page.

How do I clean the Mini devices?

You should clean your device with a water-based wipe before every treatment. Baby wipes work great! Stubborn stains can be removed by wiping gently with 70% alcohol. Always softly wipe the LED side of the device and let air dry before starting treatment.

How many uses can you get out of each Hydrocolloid Patch?

The Hydrocolloid Patches are single-use.

Can I use the Blemish Eraser device with products containing Benzoyl Peroxide?

Benzoyl Peroxide products typically have a drying effect on the skin, so it is advised to use caution if using Blemish Eraser with any over-the-counter products containing this ingredient. Those using skincare products containing Benzoyl Peroxide should read the skincare instructions carefully for any warnings and precautions in relation to exposure to light. If you are using prescription-strength Benzoyl Peroxide or are unsure if your skincare products are compatible with light therapy, please consult your dermatologist or physician prior to using Blemish Eraser. Do not apply any products to your skin prior to LED treatment besides the corresponding hydrocolloid patch.

Can I use the Hydrocolloid patches with my Contour, Clear or Men’s devices?

There is no harm in using your Hydrocolloid patches with the full-sized LED devices.

What is the recommended treatment regimen for Omnilux Mini?

Skin Corrector: We recommend using the Skin Corrector device for 3-5 treatments per week for 4-6 weeks followed by maintenance as desired.

Eye Brightener: We recommend using the Eye Brightener device for 3-5 treatments per week for 4-6 weeks followed by maintenance as desired.

Blemish Eraser: We recommend using the Blemish Eraser device for 4 treatments per week until the blemish subsides, or for a maximum of 6 weeks if you are treating recurring acne. After the initial 6 weeks, you should only use Blemish Eraser device at the earliest signs of breakout.

PLEASE NOTE: You should not use the Blemish Eraser device on the same area of the face for more than 6 weeks consecutively. After 6 weeks we recommend giving that area of your skin a break.

Can I use the Blemish Eraser device with products containing Salicylic Acid?

Yes, our Omnilux Mini Blemish Eraser Hydrocolloids contain Salicylic Acid to help treat the skin.

Are the Hydrocolloid Patches required to be used with the Mini devices?

We do not recommend using Omnilux Mini without the corresponding Hydrocolloids.

Are the Omnilux Mini devices safe to use?

Why do the Blemish Eraser lights look purple?

Since the Blemish Eraser device uses dual chip technology, when red and blue light are combined and illuminated together, the eye perceives the output color as purple.

Can Omnilux Minis be combined with professional LED treatments, or the Contour, Clear and Men’s at-home devices?

Yes, the Mini devices can be used as complimentary treatments in between professional LED treatments or with the Contour, Clear, and Men’s at-home devices.

Can I use the Blemish Eraser device if I am also on Accutane?

Do I need eye protection with the Mini devices?

No, the Omnilux Mini devices are very safe to use without eye protection. Some users report that they are sensitive to LED light, however the Mini line does not reflect light directly into the eye. If you are sensitive to light we recommended blocking the light from your eyes or not placing any of the Mini line devices close to the eye.

Can I use Eye Brightener, Skin Corrector, and Blemish Eraser at the same time?

The devices may be used at the same time to treat different areas of the face. For example, you may use the Eye Brightener to treat around the eyes and the Blemish Eraser to treat a breakout on the forehead. However, we do not recommend treating the same exact area with two devices immediately after one another.

Can I use these products without LED light therapy

This system of products was designed to complement LED light therapy
treatments. You can certainly use these products without LED and experience skin benefits!

Can I apply the Hyaluronic Acid Serum prior to my LED treatment?

Yes, applying the Hyaluronic Acid Serum prior to LED treatment helps hydrate the skin and can allow the product to penetrate deeper. Before your Omnilux LED treatment, apply a dime sized amount of the Hyaluronic Acid Serum into your hands and apply to the treatment area, allow product time to dry, then simply conduct your 10-minute LED treatment. After your treatment is complete, pat any excess serum into your skin, and wipe your Omnilux device clean.

How often should I use each product? Can I use every day?

All of our products are gentle enough to use every day.

How can I incorporate these products into my skin care routine?

For dry or mature skin types, we recommend the following regime:

1. Cleanse your skin using the Enzyme Powder Cleanser

2. Before your LED treatment, apply the Hyaluronic Acid Serum

3. Conduct your 10 minute Omnilux LED Light Therapy Treatment

4. Follow with the Peptide Concentrate to amplify anti-aging effects

The Peptide Concentrate contains Matrixyl 3000 and Argireline.

Where are the products made?

Our Enzyme Powder Cleanser, Hyaluronic Acid Serum, Peptide Concentrate, Antioxidant Eye Cream, CoQ10 Face Cream, Salicylic Acid Cleanser, Noni Balancing Serum, and Squalane Jelly Moisturizer are made in the UK. Do these products contain fragrances?

Our products do not contain synthetic fragrances. Our Hyaluronic Acid Serum, Hydrogel Face Mask, and Hydrogel Neck and Décolleté Mask contain natural bergamot essential oil. If you have an allergy to essential oils, please avoid using those products.

What preservatives are used in these products?

The Enzyme Powder Cleanser is not a water-based product and therefore does not use a preservative.

The Hyaluronic Acid Serum uses Phenoxyethanol.

Peptide Concentrate uses Potassium Sorbate.

The Hydrogel Face Mask and Hydrogel Neck and Décolleté Mask use Ethylhexylglycerin.

The Antioxidant Eye Cream uses Phenoxyethanol and Ethylhexylglycerin.

We are happy to accept returns of unopened product within 30 days of receiving your order. Returns must be unopened with the original packaging seal intact, and must be verified by photo. Are the Enzyme Powder Cleanser and Salicylic Acid Cleanser safe to use around the eye area?

Since our cleansers are very gentle exfoliants, we recommend avoiding the extra delicate eye area.

Is your packaging recyclable?

Absolutely! You can reuse our glass serum bottles and plastic cleanser bottle, or recycle them. Our secondary paper boxes are also recyclable.

Do the products have an expiration date? How do I know if my product is expired?

Once opened, you can enjoy your Omnilux skincare products for 6-12 months. Please refer to the jar icon printed on each bottle. The number displayed in the jar will indicate the expiration date in months after the product is opened.

Are these products gluten free?

With the exception of the Antioxidant Eye Cream, which contains wheatgerm oil, none of the products in our skincare line contain gluten. However, please note that we cannot guarantee there is no cross contamination as our manufacturer and products are not certified gluten free.

Is the Mineral Facial Sunscreen a physical or chemical sunscreen?

The Mineral Facial Sunscreen is a physical (mineral) sunscreen. It uses 12% non-nano zinc oxide to provide broad spectrum SPF 50+ protection.

Are these products vegan?

The Hydrogel Facial Mask and Hydrogel Neck and Décolleté Mask contain pearl extract. All other topical products are vegan.

Do the products contain alcohol?

Our Antioxidant Eye Cream, CoQ10 Face Cream, and Mineral Facial Sunscreen feature Cetearyl alcohol in their formulation. This ingredient is a type of fatty alcohol that does not dry out or irritate the skin. According to the FDA, products that include Cetearyl alcohol can be marketed as ‘alcohol-free’ due to the fact that its properties significantly differ from those of alcohols that can harm the skin.
