LED light therapy

LED phototherapy

LED (Light Emitting Diode) devices are well established in clinical anti-aging and skin-care therapy, as well as in the treatment of a wide variety of skin conditions. Omnilux™ Professional LED devices are the gold-standard medical technology used by dermatologists and aestheticians world over because of their ability to promote skin recovery and healing.

Omnilux products combine clinically proven wavelengths of light with optimized energy levels in a process called LED phototherapy.

Here’s how it works

Here’s how it works

When you use an Omnilux product, the LEDs emit light into your skin.
Light photons of specific wavelengths are absorbed by cell components, particularly the mitochondria, triggering a cascade of biochemical reactions as explained in this video.

As we age, collagen and elastin break down resulting in a loss of volume in our skin - our skin becomes more wrinkled, loose, thin, crepey and unevenly textured. Years of exposure to UV rays causes unwanted pigmentation and sun spots, which only accelerate the aging process on our face, neck and chest and hands.

Optimized energy output and two clinically proven wavelengths of red and near-infrared light work together on a cellular level to penetrate the deeper layers of skin, stimulating fibroblast cells and targeting exacerbated collagen to restore elasticity, reduce fine lines and wrinkles and correct pigmentation from sun damage.

The red wavelength (633nm) reduces inflammation, pigmentation, and redness and helps prompt cellular repair and circulation for a more vibrant complexion. The near-infrared wavelength (830nm) targets deeper fibroblast cells, stimulating new collagen and elastin production, resulting in plumper, firmer, more youthful looking skin.

The results are visibly smoother, firmer skin, a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, a more even skin tone, and less pigmentation.

Before Omnilux Contour:
Pronounced redness, pigmentation, and rough skin surface.

After Omnilux Contour:
Reduction of redness and pigmentation, smoother, plumper and brighter skin.

Acne develops when the sebaceous glands in the skin produce excess oil.

This oil combines with cells that line the gland walls, clogging the skin’s pores.

Normal skin bacteria colonize these pores causing the inflammation and redness of the skin that we associate with acne. The bacteria responsible for this inflammation (known as P.acnes), produces natural chemicals called porphyrins, which are sensitive to the wavelengths (colors) of light used by Omnilux Clear.

The blue wavelength (415nm) neutralizes the bacteria that cause the redness and inflammation of acne. Combined with the anti-inflammatory properties of red light (633nm), Omnilux Clear helps eliminate or significantly reduce active acne breakouts.

The results are visibly smoother, clearer skin, a more even skin tone, less pigmentation, and a reduction of acne.

Before Omnilux Clear:
Pronounced acne, redness, and scarring.

After Omnilux Clear:
Significant reduction of acne and redness, smoothing of acne scars, and a more vibrant complexion.

Painless and safe for all skin types

LED therapy is a completely natural, non-invasive treatment and does not contain any harmful UV wavelengths; it does not create heat or thermally damage the skin.

Clinically proven wavelengths for optimal results

Each wavelength, or color of light, stimulates a specific skin response:

  • Red (633nm) reduces inflammation, pigmentation, and redness and helps prompt cellular repair and circulation for a more vibrant complexion.
  • Near-infrared (830nm) targets deeper fibroblast cells, stimulating new collagen and elastin production, resulting in plumper, firmer, more youthful looking skin.
  • Near-infrared (1072nm) penetrates deeper into men's ~25% thicker skin, triggering a more robust cellular response for anti-aging and skin rejuvenation.
  • Blue (415nm) neutralizes acne-causing bacteria that causes the redness and inflammation of acne.
