What do the different colours and types of light mean and do for the skin?

Acne develops when the sebaceous glands in the skin produce excess oil. The oil combines with cells that line the gland walls, clogging the pores of the skin. Natural skin bacteria colonize these pores causing the inflammation and redness of the skin associated with acne.
